In the story “Backwards Town” by an 11-year-old named Juniper from Canada, a girl named Stephanie May and her family move to a new town called Backwards Town where “everything is the opposite.”

For this activity, we're going to look at a type of figure of speech that can be a bit backwards and confusing, just like Backwards Town: the oxymoron.
